Welsh Aberffraw Cakes
Teisennau Aberffro
175g (6oz) Self Raising Flour
110g (4oz) Butter
50g (2oz) Caster Sugar
Pre-heat oven to 190°C: 375°F: Gas 5.
Melt the butter in a bowl and beat in the sugar.
Gradually add the flour, mixing well with a warm spoon,
Roll the dough on a lightly floured surface into ¼ inch thickness; cut into rounds.
Bake for 15 minutes or until golden-brown.
Makes approximately 6
Serve sprinkled with sugar and with whipped cream and jam.
