Crabcakes

450g (1lb) Crabmeat
1 extra large Egg
110g (4oz) Bread crumbs
75ml (3 floz) Vegetable Oil
1 tbsp Mayonnaise
1 tbsp Lemon Juice
1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
½ tsp Paprika
¼ tsp Curry Powder
¼ tsp Dry Mustard
1/8 tsp Ground Cloves
1/8 tsp Cayenne Pepper
Salt & Pepper

Combine the egg, mayonnaise and seasoning.
Add crabmeat and enough breadcrumbs to absorb excess liquid, stir carefully to blend.
Mixture should be firm enough to hold together.
Form 6 cake, allow to stand for 15 or 20 minutes uncovered, to dry slightly.
Heat oil in large frying and sauté over medium heat until golden brown.
Turn and brown on second side.
