Medieval Mushrooms
940ml (33 floz) Gode Broth (made without breadcrumbs)
225g (8oz) Mushrooms sliced
1 Large onion sliced
¼ tsp Ground cloves
¼ tsp Pepper
1 pinch Saffron
Place mushrooms, onions, and broth in saucepan and bring to the boil.
Reduce to a simmer and add spices.
Cook until tender.
Drain and serve.
Serves 4.
Note: 'Powdour fort' is defined by Curye on Inglish as being a "strong mixture of ground spices, generally including pepper and/or cloves."
Funges
Take funges and pare hem clene, and dyce hem, take leke and shrede hym small, and do hym to seeb in gode broth.
Colour it with safroun, and do berinne powdour fort.
