Irish Swede Pudding
450g (1lb) Swede
1 Large Egg, well beaten
3 tbsp Fine Breadcrumbs
3 tbsp Milk
2 tsp Butter, melted
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Sugar
Cinnamon or Ground Ginger, to taste
Clean, peel and cube the Swede
Boil until tender, drain. then mash.
Preheat oven to 180°C: 350°F: Gas 4
Add all the remaining ingredients, and mix thoroughly.
Sprinkle the top with cinnamon or ginger.
Bake for 1 hour.
