Parsnip and Potato Mash

680g (1½lb) Parsnips
450g (1lb) Potatoes
150ml (¼ pint) Milk
4 Cloves Garlic, peeled
Nutmeg
Salt and Pepper, to taste

Peel and cube the parsnips and potatoes.
Cook the potatoes, parsnips and garlic in boiling salted water until tender.
Drain and mash thoroughly with enough milk to moisten.
Season well and add a grating of nutmeg.
