Vegetarian Sheep Herder's Pie

285g (8fl oz) Hot Milk
225g (8oz) Lentils, cooked
3 Large Potatoes, cooked
110g (4oz) Cheese (Vegetarian if preferred), grated
1 Small Onion, diced
1 tsp Salt
½ tsp Sage
½ tsp Minced Garlic
Pinch Dried Oregano
Cayenne Pepper, to taste
Butter or margarine, to taste

Pre-heat oven to 200 °C; 400 °F; Gas 6
Mash the cooked drained lentils In a large mixing bowl, adding the onion, garlic, herbs and season to taste.
Spread the mixture in a lightly oiled 2.5L (4pt) casserole.
In a separate bowl, mash the potatoes, adding the hot milk, margarine and seasoning to taste.
Beat until light and fluffy.
Spread the mashed potatoes on top of the lentil mixture and bake for 20 minutes, or until potatoes are lightly browned.
Sprinkle with cheese and place under the grill to brown.
